Alec launched Kaiyo Sonics in 2021 with the aim of eliminating the confusion associated with learning to DJ, allowing music lovers to pursue their passion and start achieving their goals as soon as possible. He’s developed an extensive knowledge of DJing over the years, allowing him to break down concepts in great detail, yet present them in a way that is easy to understand.

Inspired by the underground sounds of metal and hip hop, the raw and heavy nature of his influences evolved into a love for Drum & Bass, with it's ability to combine unparalleled energy, infectious basslines and soulful textures. Alec’s DJing revolves around these core elements, blending them together while seamlessly transitioning across the spectrum of DnB.

Alec specialises in mixing Drum & Bass and works with all other electronic music genres including Breakbeat/Electronica, Dubstep, Garage, House and Techno.
